Life is quite
queer and so are the ways of living it. Usually, living a
human life calls for unconventional methods,
maverick styles and radical notions. A person wishing to live life in such a manner needs to be open-minded, as the inspiration to lead life this way calls for taking cues from stuff happening all around us. Inspiration can come in all shapes and sizes and it usually tends to favor the prepared mind.
This brings us to two important qualities of unconventional thinkers:
perspective and
gumption. The above image depicts both of these qualities aptly.
On one hand,
perspective makes us realize that not everything is what it seems in life. Standing up to the problems, sorrows, grief and obstacles in one's life, one realizes that all these aspects are not as big as they seem. Even a small coin or
a thumb can block out the moon when placed in perspective as we have seen in the blockbuster Hollywood film,
Apollo 13
On the other hand, gumption to face the most difficult of situations in life, to speak your mind and to take risks, these are important qualities of innovative and daring people. The courage to look at adversity in the eye, unflinching, is an attribute which needs to cultivated by one and all.
No dream is too big,
no obstacle too high,
no opponent too strong,
no fear too frightening,
no person too small in knowledge or experience
no goals too difficult to attain.
